Social Media is no more of a passing fad than websites and email. It is a key element to many business marketing plans; and will become more of a focus for businesses who need to find new ways to promote their products and services in 2010.
When we introduced our first Social Media series back in July, it was no surprise that we received a positive response. However, the extent to which businesspeople were hungry for this information was amazing. Since the time we started this, other Chambers in our area have also found success in offering this information to their members.

Bridget Ayers, President of Get Smart Web Consulting
It has been great to see some of our participants actually applying what they learned as I follow them on Twitter, connect with them on LinkedIn and see that they are beginning to use social media to promote their businesses.
Fortunately for us, we have a great local resource in Bridget Ayers, President of Get Smart Web Consulting. Bridget has taught all of our Social Media classes so far and will continue to work with us in 2010. We’ll be kicking off our new 9-part series on January 26th and will be running our classes for 9 consecutive Tuesdays. We’re also planning a Social Media Bootcamp for Thursday, February 18th to provide some hands on assistance to past seminar attendees who are ready to apply what they’ve learned.
All seminar dates can be found on our website at www.SocialMediaChamber.com or by downloading our series flyer.
